Bleed screws are used on hydraulic braking systems to enable the removal of air
Bleed screws are used on hydraulic braking systems. The bleed screws or bleeder valves are located at the top of the brake caliper to allow the bleeding of air from the braking system after service work has been carried out or when air has somehow entered the system.
Air must always be bled from the system because air is compressible where brake fluid is not and will drastically effect the braking performance, any air in the system reduces the amount of pressure that can be applied to the brake pistons.
We have a good range of bleed screws for most vehicles.
